The Great Listener

There are countless names for God that seek to describe His character and nature. Some of my favorites include the Great I AM, the Most High God, Everlasting Father and the Great Physician. After years of Bible study, my list of names of or titles for God has grown quite extensive. But today, I'll add a new moniker to that list: The Great Listener. God is always willing to listen to my ramblings; He is more than able to receive and respond to my praises and to my appeals. No matter the hour, no matter the place, HE IS THERE and wants to hear from me. What a gift it is to have such a friend; may I respond by being a good friend to and great listener for someone who needs to be heard today.
